On the 20th and 21st of May 2013, the University of Wales held its annual Administrative and Quality Conference at the Parc Hotel by Thistle in Cardiff.
As part of the University’s on-going commitment to quality assurance, the conference was an excellent opportunity to provide Collaborative Centres with the opportunity to engage in constructive workshops relating to administrative and quality matters, and also to share experiences and best practice.
This event was specifically tailored for administrative staff to provide useful and practical advice on University procedures and student matters and give delegates an opportunity to meet members of the Registry team.
The timetable for the day was based on the student lifecycle and included workshops run by Registry staff on admissions, the University’s online library, examination board processes and annual monitoring. External speakers from the Westwood Organisation and the Office of the Independent Adjudicator also presented useful sessions on student immigration and appeals and complaints procedures.
We were pleased to welcome over 50 representatives from a range of Collaborative Centres, based in both the UK and overseas, and members of University staff.
Feedback from the event has been very positive and we hope that delegates found the conference informative.
