At the end of June, the headquarters of CajaGRANADA hosted a graduation ceremony for the students of Escuela Superior de Comunicación y Marketing de Granada (the Granada School of Communication and Marketing, also known as ESCO). Amongst those graduating were students who had studied on the University of Wales Communication award schemes, which include the BA (Hons) in Journalism, the BA (Hons) in Audio-visual Communication and the BA (Hons) in Advertising and Public Relations.
A total of 16 students from the BA Programmes, the 13th cohort to have been awarded the degree since the programmes began, were honoured by their families, teachers and staff of ESCO Granada. The ceremony was presided over by the prestigious journalist and author, Marta Fernández, and the film director Emilio Egea who is also one of the teachers at ESCO, Granada.
The event was attended on behalf of the University of Wales by Linda Davies, Head of Operations & Resources. Speaking at the ceremony she congratulated students on their hard work and achievements, and said:
“Your graduation celebration provides the opportunity for your friends, partners and family to share in your successes and for their support and contributions to be recognised and acknowledged. All students can be proud of their efforts and achievements and I am sure that the skills acquired during your various courses will prove to be of value to you as your future careers develop.”
For those graduates who have now successfully completed their studies, the University is delighted to invite you to register with the University of Wales Alumni Association and join the many thousands of other graduates of the University in this global network.
